Requesting Your Exam
Here is where you can see what is needed to rank-up.
The minimum requires are:
Student to Genin -- 3 Academy Classes
Genin to Chuunin -- 3 D/C Rank Missions
Chuunin to Jounin -- 3 B/A Rank Missions
Greenhorn to ANBU -- 2 D/C Rank ANBU Missions + 1 D/C Rank Mission
ANBU to Captain -- 2 B/A Rank ANBU Missions + 1 B/A Rank MIssion
Nurse to Medic -- 2 D/C Rank Medic Missions + 1 D/C Rank Mission
Medic to Chief -- 2 B/A Rank Medic Missions + 1 B/A Rank Mission
**For the Branches having that 3rd mission, it can either be a main branch mission or another mission of their branch.
Once you have met the minimums, you must also meet your village minimums (which will be up to the village).
Afterwards, make your request and a member for your village/branch will execute your exam. It will most likely be your Sannin hosting your exam; if they are not available, someone from your Village Moderator Group will host your exam.
Exams will be carried out with your Examiner DMing (Dungeon Mastering) your exam. They will do the mod and you must react to the mod. You and your Examiner will go back and forth depending on however long the Examiner deems fit (however, if it's deemed too short, you may have to take another exam due to that one being inadequate).
Unlike Missions, you CAN fail your exam so think when you perform your exam as failure IS a real thing. You will have 3 days after the Examiner posts to make a reply (post order doesn't have to be followed, but only 1 post per round) before getting a strike. 3 Strikes and you instantly fail your exam.
Completion of the Exam
Once completed, your Examiner will tell you whether you passed or failed. If you passed, you will make a reply to your original request with a link back to your exam, indicating you passed. And then an Admin will come around and award you with your brand new banner to match your new rank! With your new rank, you are now able to perform missions at a rank (or 2) higher than you did before; which means more EXP and more Ryo!
